The DMX board provides the essential interface
between PC and Microcontroller applications
and the industry standard DMX network protocol
as used in many theater lighting and control systems.

This board is designed for connection to a DMX loop, specifically for controlling stage lights, special effects units and servo motors. It can receive or transmit DMX code and translate it from and to a variety of I/O channels. It has been designed as a flexible interface device to the very fast DMX512 network to allow enthusiasts to develop their own computer controller lighting and special effects with the minimum amount of electronics. The DMX board can be configured to act as a transmitter or receiver unit.

The DMX Board has available a Windows demonstration programmed plus some VBASIC code to assist with individuals development projects.

The DMX receiver module is designed to provide 8 consecutive channels of output from a standard DMX protocol input signal. The outputs may be configured to be digital (on-off), drive standard RC type servos, provide triggering outputs suitable for driving Triac lamp dimmer circuits- or a combination of any two of these. The base address of the module may be set from 8 to 248 using the on-board setting jumpers.

DMX Bus
Twin connectors are provided for connecting the module into the DMX signal system. The twin connectors are wired in parallel.
The outputs are each 5V TTL level with a 470 ohm series resistor to limit current draw from the processor. The maximum current rating from the processor chip pins is 20mA sink or source with a total of 60mA across the

A single channel DMX relay for switching loads up to 10A at 240V AC. The DMX-switch operates on the standard DMX512 bus and requires 1 channel for

The 512 channel serial to DMX transmitter is a full speed serial to DMX transmitter. The module will generate up to 512 DMX channels and accepts serial commands and data via a standard 9600 baud RS232 serial connection - eg PC interface.
The transmitter will also store up to 60 scenes ( at 128 channels per scene ) and scenes may be switched
in by a simple RS-232serial command or for scenes 1 through 8 by manual operated switches or relay closure.

The DMX - Motor (servo) controller allows large DC motors to be controlled over a standard DMX
system. The board may be configured to drive the DC motor simply as a variable speed, reversible motor or with the addition of a position feedback potentiometer, to create a powerful servo motor controller for accurate positioning purposes.

The DMX Motor controller will drive DC motors rated at up to 24 Vdc at 5A continuous current.

The module requires 2 - DMX consecutive channels which may be set using on-board address switches. The module incorporates a 'local' control option for setting up and the ability to include end travel limit switches. DMX signal and connection points for limit switches.

The DMX video switch board will switch up to 4 composite video inputs to a single video output.

The incoming DMX data value determines which video input is routed to the output. Requires 1 channel of DMX data.

The board requires a single DMX channel and is addressable in the range 1 to 512.

Values 0 to 63 will switch input ch-1 to the output video 1.

The MP3 player provides quality stereo audio at line output levels for further amplification in your existing sound system. The audio volume and balance can be fully controlled via the

Compact Flash: The system is a digital sound output module utilizing the MPEG 1, Layer III (MP3) coding algorithm. The memory is a Compact Flash module with standard DOS / Windows formatting. The system algorithm is designed to handle FAT12, FAT16 and FAT32 volumes, although the FAT32 functions have not yet been verified. The Compact Flash must be programmed using a standard Compact Flash reader / writer.

This servo-analog converter board provides a two channel capability of converting standard R/C servo PWM pulses to 0-10 Vdc and/or 0-5 Vdc outputs suitable for driving standard lighting dimmer packs or any device that requires a 0-5 and/or 0-10 Vdc variable controlled analog signal input. Module easily connects to DMX Protocol Converter servo output channels to form 0 -10 controller for analog input devices. (Old analog dimmers, sound systems, lighting modules)
