4- Channel Servo Recorder and Playback Boards
(Brookshire -VSA Interface Board)

This unique controller board set consists of 2 boards, a 4-Channel Servo Recorder board and a stand-alone 4-Channel Servo Playback board. The 4-Channel Servo Recorder board is connected to a servo driver board (See list below) which is connected to a computer and servo control software (VSA-Brookshire, other software). Servo Programing is done on the computer by VSA software and the output is sent to an attached servo driver board (SV203, Mini-SSC II) which is connected to the 4-Ch Servo Recorder board. The Recorder Board will receive and record up to 4 servo signals simultaneously and store them on individual on-board EEPROMS when activated. Up to 10 minutes of servo activity can be recorded to the EEPROM's.

Once you have recorded your servo program, you will then flip a switch on the recorder board, press a button to download all 4 servo programs to a single 8-pin EEPROM. This EEPROM is then removed from the Recorder Board and then placed on the stand-alone Playback Board. The EEPROM is on a easy to use board adapter that also has an area to write a label of what the EEPROM holds . With the easy to use EEPROM board, you can program the same show on multiple EEPROMs, place into another optional playback board or collect different shown on sets of EEPROMs, drop in a recorded EEPROM and have a new show in seconds. The Playback board will then playback the servo routine whenever it is triggered by a dry contact closure, manual switch, sensor. There is a potentiometer on the Playback Board that will prevent the board from being re-trigger for 0 to 6 minutes after the program completes playing.

The Stand-alone Playback board also has an optional uses 1-Channel Solid State Relay (2 amp) that will activate every time the board is triggered, There is an adjustable potentiometer on-board that lets you set the relay on time. This relays is great for triggering other controller boards, MP3 sound boards or activating other effects, devices connected.

The remote extension Servo Connection Board makes it easy to connect the 4 servos to the recorder or playback board without having to un-connect and re-connect the individual servo wires. The board also makes it easy to install a set of servos and connect them to a playback board at a different location.

SV203 Interface Board

The SV203 Interface Servo Motor Controller is a Microchip PIC16C73 microcontroller based servo motor controller board. It accepts RS232 serial data signal from a host computer and outputs PWM (pulse width modulated) signal to control up to eight RC servo motors (servos used in radio-controlled model airplanes, cars, animatronics, props, etc.).

Unused servo pins can be reconfigured for digital output to drive on / off devices.
A 5-channel, 8 bit A/D input is available to read analog voltages between 0 to 5 Volts.
Devices such as an analog joystick or potentiometers can be connected to this port and the position can be read by the PC and sent back to the board to control the servo position.

- Controls 1 to 8 servos per board 8-bit resolution, value from 1 to 255.
- Under one degree of servo position precision resolution.
- Servo port can be reconfigured for digital output to drive on/off devices.
- Source / Sink 25 mA per pin
- Interface to PC through RS232 Serial port (2400 to 19200 baud).
- User definable board ID number (allowing multiple board to share same serial line).

Mini-SSCII Interface Board

The Mini SSC II is an electronic interface that allows a computer to control eight servos. The computer (through VSA Software) sends simple commands to the Mini SSC at 2400 or 9600 baud, and Mini SSC generates eight channels of precise, stable servo-control pulses.

The Mini SSC II is a fully assembled module that includes a convenient phone-style jack for serial hookup to computer intreface cable, Futaba-J servo output headers, a sync LED to indicate when valid data is received, and switchable servo range / resolution (90° range with 0.36° resolution, or up to 180° motion and 0.72° resolution).

The Mini SSCs' control signals break a servo travel range (90-degrees) into 254 parts, for 0.36-degree resolution. Optionally, the Mini SSC II can be configured for coarser resolution (0.72 degrees) and wider range (up to 180 degrees).

Visual Show Automation (VSA) is the best visual solution for choreographing complex lighting, animatronic, and audio shows. VSA breaks away from traditional solutions and realizes that complex animatronics, robotics, and lighting systems demand a sophisticated solution.

VSA software offers a simple, visual approach. All pertinent information is displayed visually and easily adjustable. No programming experience is needed. With VSA software it is easy to see and adjust what is going on at each point in the program: What motors are moving? Where will they stop moving? What relays are active? VSA visually incorporates multiple audio files.

VSA software is great for animatronics and DJ lighting, multiple wave and MP3 files can accompany each routine, each rendered on a different sound card. A selectable audio channel is graphically displayed, significantly easing the task of lip sync and other sound dependent actions.

Requires Serial or DMX Interface boards, support hardware, computer for operation.

Wireless Servo Controller System - 21 Servo Channel

This unique wireless control module system will allow you to operate 21 remote R/C servos in locations without any hard wires connected from a controller.
Each of the 21 servos will operate independently and / or can be controlled as a group.
Playback time for the servos is determined by the length of the show that you develop, thus 1 minute to 10 hour shows or more can be easily created through the software interface.

Imagine actors with costumes on stage with wearable servo modules or a room full of animatronic characters all controlled by servos and no wire to have to run back to a complex servo controller.

This unique control system consists of an RF Transmitter board connected to the DMX interface module and controlled through software programming (VSA- Software) running on a laptop or table top computer. Once a show program has been created and downloaded, the remote servos will operate as programmed.

Each remote servo board has an on-board receiver and the necessary servo control components to operate the servo. All that is needed for the remote servo receiver boards is a power supply ( Battery ) and a servo to be connected.

This interface module can control DMX hardware devices using a standard laptop, table top PC / MAC Computer, control software and USB interface cable. The module connects to any computer through the USB port.
A variety of DMX boards can be networked to the interface module, such as relays, light dimmers, voltage converters, servo drivers, audio boards, video switcher, etc. through the DMX cable network connecting from device to device.

This unique, exclusive DMX hand held unit has 4 - Channel Bar Sliders, Main Menu, Selection Buttons and 3 Modes of operation: Manual, USB, and Pre-Programmed Scenes options. The DMX Mini Show Controller takes 2-"AA" batteries, or power from a computer through the USB Cable. If you want to power the Mini Show Controller on for long times over 10 hours, then the optional USB to AC Adapter could be used for extended use.
